Hi, I’m Linda. It’s nice to meet you.
I’m a mother, a wife, a school teacher, a holistic nutritionist, a marathoner and the founder of Eat Well with MS. Oh, and I love my cat Rocky!
When I was first diagnosed with MS in 2000, I quickly realized that the Internet offered no clear path on health. It was more of a doom and gloom picture of health and I felt like my future had already been determined for me. My health was going to progress and I would eventually be in a wheelchair. I had no clue what to do and I was so scared.
What I DID know was that I had a passion for health. I was training for my first marathon when I was diagnosed (and a 1 year old daughter) and I’ve been running since. The road has become my form of therapy. Some people find running exhausting but for me it gives me hope that I can do this and that my body can do this.
Fast-forward 10 years and I returned to school to study natural nutrition and become a holistic nutritionist. This is where I learned that some foods have the power to heal while other foods have the power to hurt. Over time I changed my diet and learned what foods serve me well to keep my MS in remission. I also kept running (yeah - I just completed my 20th marathon in April 2019) and I now want to help others living with MS live healthier and happier lives. I am so fortunate to do what I love and to be living a healthy life with MS eating delicious whole foods while keeping active.
Now I am not telling you this to brag – I’m telling you this because I want you to know you can do it too, and that’s exactly why I created this website. I want to help you discover how you can take charge of your health and manage your MS through nutrition.
