$270 includes 1 hour initial visit and 2 x 45 min follow-ups
I didn’t always eat well. Even after my first marathon, I did not really know what to eat to fuel my training or my workouts. I thought it was normal to be in major pain after a marathon and to have to slide down the stairs on your bum for a few days. It wasn’t until I started to eat natural and nutrient-dense whole foods that I could train harder, recover faster and perform better. No more sliding down the stairs. This type of diet has even allowed me to qualify for the Boston Marathon five times and the New York City Marathon. I’d love to share my nutritional secrets with you to become a successful athlete.
This package is perfect for those wishing to learn how to fuel their body to improve their performance.
You will learn:
The essentials for building a perfect meal and macronutrient balancing
What food best fuel your training and competition
New ideas for healthy snacks
How you can improve your recovery levels
How to improve your energy levels
FAQs
How can diet help MS?
I strongly believe that ‘Food is our best medicine’. I don’t look at it as a diet but more as a lifestyle. There are so many factors that can influence one’s health and food is one of them. MS needs to be explored within a holistic perspective- body, mind and spirit. Just like a person with diabetes needs to learn how to make good food choices to regulate their blood sugar levels, people with MS need to understand how their food and lifestyle choices can affect your body and learn how to make the best choices possible to reduce inflammation. French fries = inflammation. Kale = no inflammation. With less inflammation in the body you will experience increased energy, reduced pain, less fatigue, improved memory, better balance… So how does diet help MS? It is simple… it can reduce MS flare-ups.
Do you provide vitamin and supplement recommendations?
Supplement recommendations are not the focus of my approach but rather a whole foods approach is suggested to help better manage your MS. It is also important to note that you must stay on your current medications for your medical and psychological conditions.
Will you be recommending foods that I won’t be able to find at the grocery store?
99% of the foods recommended in the coaching sessions are whole foods that you can find at any local grocery stores or local markets or Costco or Wholefoods. The other more specialty superfoods that are sometimes suggested can be found in natural food stores. I generally explain where you can find these foods or supplements.
Will my family have to eat different foods?
Absolutely not. The foods recommended in the coaching sessions are nutritious for everyone and the recipes are delicious. Who doesn’t love a chocolate pudding (made with avocados)? Kids love it too (and big kids too). Sure there is a learning curve and the family could be picky at the beginning but that is to be expected especially if they are not used to eating vegetables on a regular basis. You just have to be patient and keep offering it to them even if they refuse. It takes 21 days to develop a new habit. Don’t worry, they will be thanking you for their improved health too.
